General Information

  • Where is Hearth Haven Cabins located?

    We service the entire state of Kentucky.  You will notice the different areas our cabins are located in and can sort by area.  Red River Gorge, Cave Run, Cumberland, Lexington Frankfort, Louisville.

  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check-in for most properties is at 4:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request.

  • Do the cabins have Wi-Fi and cell service?

    Most of our cabins offer Wi-Fi, but please note that due to the remote locations, service may be limited. Cell reception varies by provider, with better coverage in higher elevations.

  • Are pets allowed?

    We do offer pet-friendly cabins! A small pet fee applies, and we ask that pets be supervised and cleaned up after.

Amenities & Services

  • What amenities do the cabins include?

    Each of our cabins are individually equipped with heating/AC basic kitchen supplies, linens, bath towels, and paper products. Other amenities such as fire pits, hot tubs, outdoor patio furniture are only available at select cabins.

  • Do you provide firewood and grilling supplies?

    Firewood and grilling supplies are available for purchase through our Guest Services. You can request delivery before your stay.

  • Can I book additional services like grocery delivery or a private chef?

    Yes! Our Concierge Services offer grocery stocking, private chef experiences, adventure bookings, and more.

  • Are there hiking trails near the cabins

    We have properties all over the state of Kentucky, all of which will be near outdoor recreational activities. Guests will be able to check the local information in the guest app where area information can be found about the immediate area around the property.

  • Where can I go rock climbing?

    Red River Gorge is world-famous for climbing! Popular spots include Muir Valley and the Motherlode. Reach out to someone on our team and we can help arrange guided climbing experiences.

  • Are there any waterfalls or scenic spots nearby?

    YES! We have properties all over the state of Kentucky, all of which will be near outdoor recreational activities. Guests will be able to check the local information in the guest app where area information can be found about the immediate area around the property.

  • Are there restaurants In Red River Gorge Area?

    Yes! Some local favorites include Miguel’s Pizza, Red River Rockhouse, and Sky Bridge Station. There are several more options available. Our staff can also recommend the best dining options for your stay, no matter where you are staying.

  • Where can I buy groceries or supplies in the Red River Gorge Region?

    There are small grocery stores in the area, but we recommend stocking up before arriving. Kroger in Stanton KY is the best option. Our Grocery Delivery Service can also pre-stock your cabin. Reach out to someone on our team for more details.

Weather & Safety

  • What is the weather like in Red River Gorge?

    Weather can vary, so we recommend checking the forecast before your trip. Spring and fall are the most popular seasons for visiting due to mild temperatures. Always bring rain gear.

  • What should I do if I encounter wildlife?

    Wildlife sightings are common in KY. Keep a safe distance, do not feed animals, and properly store food to avoid attracting them to your cabin.

  • Are there medical services nearby the Red River Gorge?

    The nearest medical facilities are in Stanton and Winchester. For emergencies, call 911.

Travel & Accessibility

  • What is the best way to get to Red River Gorge?

    Most visitors drive, as there are no major airports nearby. The closest airport is in Lexington, KY, about an hour away.

  • Are the roads to the cabins accessible year-round?

    Most roads are accessible with standard vehicles, but some cabins may require 4WD, especially in winter or after heavy rain.

  • Is there parking at the cabins and trailheads?

    Yes, each cabin has designated parking. Popular trailheads have parking areas, but they can fill up quickly on weekends.
